CARING FOR YOUR KUMANA ACTIVEWEAR

Your new Kumana Activewear is precious! We want to make sure we all treat it as such.  It’s very important that you follow the care instructions to keep your activewear (and any of your clothes, really!) in their best shape!

  • Hand Wash Cold (or by personal experience, machine wash cold in a delicates bag, on delicate cycle)

  • DO NOT tumble dry

  • DRY IN THE SHADE

  • DO NOT iron

  • DO NOT bleach

  • DO NOT wring

Hand wash would be great, it’s what the manufacturer recommends, but in our personal experience you can machine wash cold in a delicates laundry bag (we recommend Guppyfriend!).  Bonus points if you wash on delicate cycle!  Odds are your entire wardrobe recommends cold water, if not dry cleaning.  It’s REALLY important that you do not tumble dry your activewear (you also shouldn’t tumble dry any bras and swimwear too).  If you tumble dry these garments, it could damage the fabric and it won’t last as long - after all, we’re eco-friendly here so we want your clothes to last forever!  Tumble drying your activewear can change the feel of the fabric, so it won’t be as silky smooth.  When drying, do not wring your activewear.  If needed, simply squeeze it into a ball to get as much water out as you can, and then let it lay flat or hang to dry IN THE SHADE.  The sun can heat up your activewear too much and that will also change the feel of the fabric.  Don’t worry, it dries pretty quick, it’s moisture-wicking, remember?! Your activewear doesn’t need to be ironed, so don’t do that either because that could damage it.  And don’t bleach it, of course. Enjoy!
